Installing Chandelier Lights and Chandeliers
The chandelier is designed with main body parts,
which include arms, body, and candles or light fixtures
and crystal decoration. The arms are attached to
the body and extend out. These are dressed up with
the crystal ornaments. Chandelier lights come in
a range of styles; finishes and designs to suit
any budget or home.
Because chandeliers have such an impact on
the decor and atmosphere of the room, you need to make sure that they are fitted
and installed correctly. In practice any lighting that hangs from the ceiling
on a chain or wire can be called a chandelier.
The installation is the same for any chandelier
lights fixtures. The important issue to consider
is whether the wiring connections and electric box
are able to support a chandelier of the chosen size.
If the light will replace an existing light that
is about the same size, then the wiring should be
fine. The wiring box in the ceiling may need to
be replaced if it is heavier than the previous fixture.
When a light is hung over a dining table, the light
should give adequate light and centered over the
table with 30 inches above it to the ceiling. If
there is one light fixture a 100-watt bulb should
be used, two fixtures should be 60 watt each and
for three or more 40 watt bulbs should work fine.
